Work Schedule and Hours: Nights and weekends; schedule will vary based on event and building needs, typically between 4 PM and 11 PM on weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Salary range: $22 - $25/hour

Position Summary
The Facilities and Operations Associate supports the Facilities and Operations Manager in overseeing building operations during evenings and weekends. This role is key to ensuring the building remains clean, safe, and fully functional for all activities during these times - including church services, private events, and community gatherings. It’s a great fit for someone already working weekdays in facilities or operations who is looking to take on additional hours. The ideal candidate is service and hospitality-oriented, proactive, and quick to troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Building Operations and Safety
  • Troubleshoot building-related issues, including elevator functionality, HVAC adjustments, and fire safety systems.
  • Oversee fire safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Work with security personnel, providing access to security systems (e.g., cameras, instructions) and addressing their concerns.
  • Assist with building security, including locking/unlocking spaces, monitoring secure areas, and ensuring all areas are safe and operational.
  • Maintain a clean and safe exterior by hosing down or clearing sidewalks, shoveling snow, and ensuring unobstructed access to the building.
  • Assist with light cleaning tasks, including handling spills, maintaining restrooms, taking out garbage, and keeping kitchen areas clean.
Event and Facility Support
  • Set up and break down furniture and equipment for events, ensuring all event spaces are ready for use.
  • Provide on-site operations support during events, responding to client and guest needs and troubleshooting facilities-related issues.
  • Collaborate with event staff to handle event needs such as adjusting room setups, clearing trash, and restocking supplies.
  • Ensure all clients and guests comply with E91 building and event policies, maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years hands-on experience in event operations, building maintenance, or a similar role.
  • Service and hospitality-oriented with a cooperative, team-focused attitude.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to interact with clients, staff, and vendors professionally.
  • Basic knowledge of security protocols and facility safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; comfortable working with tools and basic repair equipment (preferred).
  • Spanish proficiency, and knowledge of other languages, is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set; experience and training; licensure, certifications, and ordination; and other organizational needs.
Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
